Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Carson County Criminal History does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the site's systems may automatically receive basic technical and usage details, including:
- Page-view times and the pages viewed

- The device's Internet Protocol address
- Time spent on individual pages
- The referring website, when one is reported

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Carson County Criminal History does not keep, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It provides general directions to records held by the Carson County Sheriff's Office, Carson County courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-history files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy policies, retention periods, and disclosure practices apply to information entered into those tools. We do not set or control those terms, so review the provider's policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Carson County government, Texas agencies, court resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once you follow an external link, that operator's privacy policy controls the visit. Check its terms before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may observe activity across websites to select ads. That collection occurs through the provider's systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may still be disclosed to the following recipients when necessary:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and site performance
- Search providers that process a query you submit
- Advertising networks that serve ads on the site
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
We use customary safeguards for information in our possession. No Internet service or storage method is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.

This website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor provided personal data, we will remove it promptly.
